INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations on the purchase of the new model VISION car alarm, with this purchase you have taken a greet step forward towards the protection of your investment as well as providing you with peace of mind to the security of your vehicle.

The VAE 318-1510 is an advanced designed with data code communication vehicle protection system. It activeates/deactives the alarm system by a code hopping remote signal transmitter, automatically locks/unlocks the vehicle's central locking system (if fitted), immobilizes the engine (If fitted with VAE-140 data code immobiliser) when armed with several sectors protection. Every sector is self diagnostic which means that If any problem arises, the alarm will emit a series of audible chirps pin pointing the problem.

In the following pages includes Operating Instruction, Diagnostic Instruction and Selectable feature, please follow the instruction described and make sure every function is operated correctly.

CONTENTS

With the purchase of your new alarm you have included:

CODE HOPPING TWO CHANNELS WATERPROOF TRANSMITTER

The CODE HOPPING transmitter each time it is pressed will randomly transmit a different code. This prevents the thieves from using a code grabber to copy the code and re-transmitting the code to disarm the alarm system.

Three noticeable features.

Note: To replace the batteries In the transmitter, gentry raise the face cover from the bottom cover, takeout the old batteries and replace with new ones ensuring correct polarity.

Never wet or submerge transmitter in water, as this will invalidate warranty.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The following chart will assist you in understanding the operation of your alarm system.

What function you want to do What you need to do or what situation Systems Response
Active arming (when system is disarmed) Press CH-1
  • Indicators flash once
  • Lock signal output
  • Engine is immobilized
  • Total closed 45 seconds output (If select, please refer to ignition programmable)
  • LED light ON and then flash after 30 seconds of exit delay, sectors are ready to accept trigger
  • Siren chirps once
Active disarming (when system is armed) Press CH-1
  • Indicators flash 3 times If the siren 4 chirps and indicators flash 4 times the alarm has been triggered, please refer to diagnostic instruction)
  • Indicators will remain ON for 30 seconds (if selected, pleaser refer to the ignition programmable function- exterior illumination)

  • Indicators flash once
  • LED flashes
  • Engine is immobilized
NOTE : There are two types of trigger method alarm when you select auto arm.
  1. Full : If any protected sector is triggered, the system will alarm immediately.
  2. ACC : Only alarm for hot wire (Please refer to ignition programmable)
Re-arm Within 60 seconds of disarm without turning ignition key to ACC Same response as active arming
Boot release (if select, please refer to ignition programmable feature) Press CH-2 (Only working at ignition OFF)
  • Indicators flash 5 times
  • Boot is released (it fitted)
  • Sector 2 A 4 will be isolated
Note : if boot is opened and closed again, or does not open the boot within 60 seconds, the sector 2 & 4 will automatically pre-trigger.
Panic Press CH-1 for 3 sec. (Only working at ignition is OFF)

Deactive Panic Press CH-1 once Same response as active disarming
Optional sensor temporary disable Press ÑH-1 and then press CH-2 within 3 seconds
  • Same response as active arm but siren 2 chirps
  • Optional sensor (sector 4) temporary disable (next remote disarm/arm, the system will go back to normal)
Alarm trigger (when system is armed) Any sector is triggered
  • Alarm for 30 seconds
  • Indicator flashes 30 seconds
  • LED flash fast
After 8 seconds of alarm duration if any sector is triggered continuously Same response as alarm trigger
Deactive alarm (when the system is in alarmed mode) Press CH-1
  • Alarm stop

SECTOR PROTECTION

The system is connected by wires linked to the vehicles door, bonnet, boot & ignition key switch. Once the alarm is armed the systems intelligent management will monitor these sectors to protect you vehicle.

Please refer to the Protection Sector as follows :

A) Door Sector Protection (sector 1)

The door sector is very Important sector, this protects unauthorized entry and also controls other functions such as last door auto arming, re-arming.

Â) Bonnet Sector Protection (sector 2)

The bonnet are protected by pin switches Installed, once the alarm is armed any entry will trigger the system.

C) Optional sensor sector protection (sector 4)

The system provides additional sectors which optional dual zone sensors such as dual zone shock or dual zone microwave detectors which can be added to the system. The sector have a 60 seconds delay before this sector is armed to allow the vehicle window and sunroof to close when using the total close feature to stop false alarms when arming the system.

D) Hot wire (sector 5)

This is final protection of the system if all other sectors are invalid. If the thief turns on the ignition switch, the alarm will trigger.

DIAGNOSTIC

ERROR CHIRP & ERROR SECTOR ISOLATION

If when arming the system by pressing the transmitter the system emit a series of chirps, this means that a protected sector is opened or is at fault. Please refer to the table below.

Sector Error Chirps SECTOR OPEN /FAULTY
1 1 CHIRP DOOR
2 2 CHIRPS BONNET/BOOT
4 4 CHIRPS OPTIONAL SENSOR
5 5 CHIRPS IGNITION (HOT WIRE)

Note : If you can not eliminate the error sector before exit delay (before LED flash), the system will isolate this sector. All other sectors will operate as normal.

TRIGGER REPORT AND ISOLATION

If the system has been triggered the status LED will pulse on/off rapidly to inform you of that the system has been triggered. Disarm the system and turn the ignition key to the ACC position. The status LED will pulse on/off a number of times, please refer to the table below.

Sector STATUS LED ON/OFF TRIGGERED SECTOR
1 1 ON/OFF FLASH DOOR
2 2 ON/OFF FLASH BONNET
4 4 ON /OFF FLASH INTERIOR SENSOR (2)
5 5 ON/OFF FLASH IGNITION (HOT WIRE)

Note: Each above 5 protected sectors are triggered more than 10 times will be isolated.
